World Whiskey Society's Green Code is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey distilled in Kentucky and bottled at 48% ABV. The release is packaged in a fully recyclable paperboard bottle, an outer shell of printed cardboard around a food-grade plastic liner with a metal screw cap, and the three components separate cleanly for recycling. Compared to a standard glass bottle, the format is roughly 84% lower in carbon footprint and about five times lighter, making it an easy bottle to toss in a bag for travel or the outdoors.

The bourbon pours an amber color and opens with butterscotch, toasted oak, sweet honey, and a subtle cereal grain note on the nose. The palate is lush and full-bodied, layering honey, butterscotch, and oak over molasses, candied apples, and dark fruit, before finishing sweet and rich with syrupy molasses, fruit, and lingering toasted oak.
