Tequila Ocho Extra Añejo La Estancia
Tequila Ocho Extra Añejo La Estancia comes from the producer that pioneered single-estate, vintage-dated tequila, with each release drawn from agave grown in one named field. This bottling carries the La Estancia rancho name, made from fully mature highland agave in Jalisco by the Camarena family at La Alteña, then rested in oak for the extended aging the extra añejo category demands — a minimum of three years in barrel.
The long rest builds a deep amber pour where cooked agave still leads, wrapped in vanilla bean, toasted oak, and dried fig. The palate layers caramel and baked agave with cinnamon, orange peel, and dark chocolate, and the finish stretches out with oak spice, tobacco leaf, and a return of sweet roasted agave — an extra añejo that keeps its highland character instead of surrendering it to the barrel.
Single-field Ocho releases are bottled in limited runs and rarely linger, which makes La Estancia a natural centerpiece for an agave collection and a serious gift for the tequila drinker who already owns the classics. Shelve it alongside Don Julio 1942 and the rest of the Gifted Pour tequila selection to trace how highland agave changes with time in wood. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
