Nose: 23: honey, butterscotch, raisin and spiced oak. XO: dark chocolate, dried fruit, toffee and cognac-cask vanilla.

Palate: The 23 is rich, sweet and rounded; the XO is deeper, drier and more complex with a cognac-like elegance.

Finish: Long and sweet on the 23; very long and layered on the XO.
