RD One Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey pays homage to the rich heritage of the Ashland Distillery, established in 1865 as the first federally registered distillery, proudly bearing the designation RD#1. Crafted with precision and tradition, this bourbon offers a sensory journey filled with layers of complexity and nuance. Appearance: Light brown in color with a medium+ viscosity, hinting at the bourbon's depth and richness.
Nose: The nose opens with inviting notes of orange candied spice and dried cherries, followed by hints of cinnamon toast. A blast of cooked apples aroma emerges upon pouring, with a flash of honeysuckle as the glass opens up, revealing very late appearances of cherry apple fruits.
