Rare Character Pride of Anderson County 9.5 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Pride of Anderson County is Rare Character Whiskey Company's tribute to one of Kentucky's most storied distilling regions, home to some of the state's oldest bourbon-making traditions. This release is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged nine and a half years, sourced from an undisclosed Anderson County distillery and bottled as a single barrel at full cask strength without chill filtration, so every bottle carries the unedited character of its cask.
Nearly a decade in oak gives this bourbon deep amber color and a layered pour: rich caramel and dark brown sugar up front, followed by vanilla bean, baked apple, and toasted pecan. The palate builds through cinnamon and clove into stewed cherry and leather, and the long finish resolves in charred oak, tobacco, and a lingering thread of dark chocolate.
Rare Character single barrels are bottled once and never repeated, which makes each release a genuine one-off for the collector's shelf and a serious gift for the bourbon devotee who already has the standard shelf covered. Pair it with the other allocated bourbons and single-barrel picks in the Gifted Pour whiskey collection to round out a tasting flight. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
