This expression begins as a 100% malted rye whiskey, aged for 6 years and 6 months in new charred American oak, before being finished for an additional 5 months in Old Potrero barrels that previously held Almanac’s custom-brewed imperial stout. The result is a luxurious, layered spirit that retains Old Potrero’s signature spice while incorporating velvety malt, dark chocolate, and roasted depth from the beer-aged casks.
