Nonino Grappa Vendemmia
Nonino Grappa Vendemmia is a premium Italian grappa from the Nonino family distillery in Friuli, producing grappa continuously since 1897. 'Vendemmia' means 'harvest,' and this expression is built from a carefully selected blend of freshly pressed grape pomace from the year's wine production, distilled in the small-batch copper pot stills that are the Nonino signature. The result is a finer, more aromatic grappa than the rustic bottlings many drinkers first encounter.
On the nose expect floral and fruit aromas — white peach, apricot, acacia honey, and a gentle herbal note. The palate is elegant, warming, and distinctly grape-forward, with orchard fruit, delicate spice, and a long, clean finish that stays refined even at full grappa strength. Serve lightly chilled in a dedicated grappa tulip after a meal as a digestivo, alongside espresso or dark chocolate, or used with care as a base for contemporary Italian-inspired cocktails.
The Nonino family is credited with elevating grappa from a farmhouse by-product to a respected artisanal spirit, pioneering single-vineyard and single-varietal distillations starting in the 1970s. Every bottle reflects the family's multi-generational commitment to Friulian distilling tradition and precision pot-still technique.
