Crafted in celebration of the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool and in partnership with golfing legend Colin Montgomerie, Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition is a unique single malt that merges tradition, sport, and craftsmanship. Distilled in the shadow of Ben Lomond, this whisky showcases the artistry of Master Blender Michael Henry, who hand-selected American oak casks for initial maturation, followed by a refined finish in Spanish Rioja Alta Reserva red wine casks. The result is a whisky of exceptional depth, fruit character, and elegant smoky complexity—presented in a commemorative carton bearing Montgomerie's signature.

Nose:
Aromas of ripe red berries, spiced orchard fruits (baked apple, pear), and a gentle floral note. Subtle hints of toasted oak and vanilla from the American oak mingle with a light wine sweetness.

Palate:
Silky and rounded on the palate. Layers of sweet red berries (raspberry, cherry), creamy vanilla, and stewed orchard fruits are beautifully balanced by deeper tones of Rioja-driven tannins and bittersweet dark chocolate. A soft maltiness provides body and structure.

Finish:
Elegant and lingering, with delicate wisps of Highland peat smoke and a warming blend of red fruit and cocoa. A refined and complex conclusion that invites another sip.
