Fundador Brandy De Jerez Solera Reserva Sherry Cask
Fundador Brandy De Jerez Solera Reserva Sherry Cask is a Spanish brandy from the Sherry Triangle in Jerez — the oldest brandy label in Spain, established in 1874. Aged in American oak casks that previously held Sherry, Fundador is produced using the traditional Solera y Criadera system: a tiered arrangement of casks where older brandy is blended with progressively younger stock, ensuring remarkable consistency and a distinctive sherried depth that sets Brandy de Jerez apart from Cognac and Armagnac.
On the nose, expect dried fig, raisin, walnut, and a layer of toasted oak from the sherry-seasoned barrels. The palate is round and mellow, with dark caramel, brown sugar, and a soft nuttiness from the used sherry wood, finishing long and warm with a whisper of baking spice. The Solera process builds a richer, more concentrated character than straight-ageing would deliver in the same time window.
Fundador sits at the affordable end of Brandy de Jerez's quality tiers (Solera, Solera Reserva, Solera Gran Reserva) and offers one of the best price-to-quality ratios in the category. Excellent neat, over a single cube, or in a traditional Spanish brandy-and-cola. Pair with our Cognac and other Spanish brandies for a side-by-side tasting. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
