Fortaleza is one of Mexico's most storied distilleries, operating out of the historic La Fortaleza hacienda in Tequila, Jalisco. The Sauza family — whose lineage in tequila production spans five generations — revived the estate using traditional methods that most modern producers have long abandoned. Blue Weber agave is slow-roasted in stone ovens, crushed by a centuries-old volcanic tahona wheel, and double-distilled in small copper pot stills. The Still Strength Blanco skips the dilution step entirely, delivering the full concentration of roasted agave flavor, citrus oils, and mineral character that the distillation process produces.
