Fortaleza is produced at Destilería La Fortaleza in Tequila, Jalisco — one of the few remaining distilleries still using traditional tahona stone-crushing methods to extract agave juice. The añejo expression is aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of one year, allowing the roasted agave character to develop rich layers of caramel, dried fruit, and warm baking spice. The family behind Fortaleza, the Sauza lineage, has been making tequila for five generations, and that heritage shows in every bottle.
