El Tequileño Extra Añejo Tequila
El Tequileño has been made in the town of Tequila, Jalisco since 1959, when Don Jorge Salles Cuervo founded the distillery his family still runs today. This Extra Añejo sits at the top of the house's range: the category requires a minimum of three years in oak — the longest aging classification in tequila — making this the distillery's longest-aged, most patient work.
Those years in barrel give the liquid a deep amber color and a character closer to a fine brandy than a typical tequila, yet the cooked agave at its core never disappears. Expect vanilla bean, dried fig, and dark chocolate up front, with caramel, baking spice, and toasted oak building toward a long, warming finish that rewards slow sipping.
An extra añejo at this level is a natural centerpiece for an agave collection and a serious gift for the tequila devotee who has already worked through the añejo shelf. It sits comfortably alongside the other luxury tequilas at Gifted Pour, from Don Julio 1942 to our rare-bottle agave selection. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
