El Jolgorio Sierrudo Ancestral Mezcal
El Jolgorio Sierrudo Ancestral is crafted from the rare, wild agave Sierrudo (Agave Americana), a massive and slow-growing agave that can take 13–15 years to mature and reach up to 1,000 pounds. Made by renowned maestro mezcalero José Cortés in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, this mezcal showcases the depth and complexity that can be drawn from semi-wild, mature agaves cultivated in select regions like Agua del Guaje, San Pedro Lachigoba, and San Carlos Yautepec. This release captures the essence of Oaxaca’s terroir, crafted in small batches with each bottle uniquely marked, connecting drinkers to the mezcalero's heritage and craftsmanship.
