Ducks Unlimited Shotgun Shell American Single Malt Whiskey is a collaboration release between World Whiskey Society and Ducks Unlimited, the wetlands conservation nonprofit founded in 1937. It's the flagship bottling in a three-part Ducks Unlimited series that also includes a Mallard decanter and a 10 Year Special Edition. The whiskey ships in a bespoke red-fluted glass bottle styled after a shotgun shell, capped in engraved gold and packed inside a black metal tube shaped like a shotgun barrel and embossed 'Single Barrel Select by Ducks Unlimited.' The liquid is a no-age-statement American single malt, distilled from 100% malted barley at Scissortail Distillery in Moore, Oklahoma, and aged in charred American oak.

The whiskey pours a deep amber and opens with cedar, candied orange peel, almond, cereal grain, and a trace of anise. On the palate, oak and dark fruit give way to cocoa, walnut, honey, and allspice, finishing long and gently smoky as orange peel and cedar linger.
