Cruzan Dark Rum Black Strap is a distinctive molasses-forward dark rum from the Estate Diamond Distillery on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Built around the thick, almost tar-like blackstrap molasses, it pours nearly opaque and leads with intense aromas of burnt sugar, espresso, dark chocolate, and dense molasses — a very different profile from lighter aged Cruzan rums.
On the palate expect bold molasses, coffee, dark brown sugar, bitter chocolate, and a touch of smoke, finishing long and rich.
