This is the flagship extra añejo of Chaquira Reserva de El Jaguar, a collector's tequila presented in a jaguar-head bottle covered entirely in hand-applied chaquira glass beads by Wixárika (Huichol) artisans. Every bottle is beaded by hand, so no two are exactly alike; the extra añejo wears the line's full multicolor Wixárika colorway and ships on its lacquered black display base with an engraved plaque.

Chaquira is produced at Destiladora del Valle de Tequila (Casa Maestri, NOM 1438) in Jalisco from 100% blue Weber agave. The agave is cooked in stone ovens and autoclaves, milled, fermented in stainless steel and double distilled in stainless pot stills. The extra añejo is aged for at least three years in American white oak barrels, developing deep caramel, vanilla and oak layers while keeping an agave-and-pepper backbone. Bottled at 40% ABV.
