The Unicorn’s Tale, the second installment in Ardbeg’s experimental Anthology trilogy, is a bold and imaginative expression that intertwines the rich sweetness of Madeira cask maturation with Ardbeg’s signature Islay peat smoke. This 14-year-old whisky, a marriage of bourbon and Madeira casks, showcases a mesmerizing balance of tropical fruit, spice, and deep smoky complexity. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, this limited release delivers an extraordinary sensory journey—where sweetness and smoke dance in harmony, revealing layer upon layer of intrigue.

Nose: Creamy and inviting, with lime zest, mandarin, banana bread, and a touch of white pepper. The peat smoke builds gradually, unveiling aromas of cedarwood, rolling tobacco, and treacle.

Palate: A rich wave of warming citrus, with lime juice, apricot, peach, and marble cake. The spicy peat smoke intensifies, mingling with toasted peppercorns, nutmeg, cinnamon, and aniseed. A syrupy sweetness reminiscent of sponge pudding and baked banana bread lingers beneath.
