The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapu’s Pacific is a bold and adventurous continuation of WhistlePig’s renowned Boss Hog series. Paying tribute to the legendary Filipino warrior LapuLapu, this single-barrel rye whisky is bottled at barrel strength and finished in both Philippine rum casks and heavily toasted American oak. The result is a powerfully complex whisky that pushes the boundaries of rye, with a rich interplay of spice, sweetness, and tropical depth.

Nose: Earthy and robust, opening with deep vanilla, molasses, and a hint of charred oak. As it evolves, bright tropical notes emerge, including underripe banana, fresh lemon zest, and a touch of dark fruit like figs and raisins.

Palate: A rich, chewy texture with layers of raspberry preserves, cinnamon spice, and dark chocolate. Balanced by butterscotch, toffee, and a touch of sweet corn.

Finish: Exceptionally long and warming, featuring tanned leather, light brown sugar, nutmeg, and allspice. The signature rye spice lingers, complemented by subtle red fruit and a final hint of black pepper.
