Named after the 19th-century New Orleans bartender who helped popularize the Sazerac cocktail, this whiskey features a bold rye-forward mash bill and is aged for around six years in new charred oak barrels. The result is a full-bodied dram with explosive notes of cinnamon, clove, rich caramel, and citrus zest. Despite its strength, it retains remarkable balance and complexity, making it a favorite among collectors and connoisseurs alike.

The profile veers towards Chinese five-spice, with undertones of lemon oil and a faint herbal touch from Bermuda grass.

Palate: From the first sip, bold cinnamon spice and dried sandalwood take the lead, accompanied by clove and black pepper. The influence of American oak shines through, with a toasted wood spice that adds complexity and structure. As the sip develops, a lush, viscous mouthfeel brings out a fruity sweetness mid-palate, reminiscent of strawberry candy and hints of grenadine, balanced by warm cinnamon and spiced strawberry cobbler toward the finish.
