The Glen Grant Exploration No.1 is the inaugural release in the distillery’s Exploration Series, a collection inspired by the adventurous spirit of James 'The Major' Grant and his passion for discovering unique flavors from around the world. This limited-edition single malt brings together the distillery’s signature delicately aromatic and fruit-forward style with the exotic influence of rum cask finishing.
Initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky is then transferred into carefully selected rum casks, allowing it to develop vibrant tropical layers and warming spice. Bottled at 48% ABV and non-chill filtered, Exploration No.1 preserves the whisky’s natural texture and complexity while showcasing a rich interplay of sweet fruit, dark sugar, and gentle spice.
The result is a lively yet refined single malt that reflects both the heritage of The Glen Grant and the adventurous spirit behind the Exploration Series—combining classic Speyside elegance with a bold tropical twist.
