The Balvenie 19 Year Old "Cask & Character" is a remarkable single malt that embodies both tradition and innovation. Aged entirely in European oak oloroso sherry casks, this whisky showcases the depth and complexity that comes from prolonged maturation in sherry oak. This limited-edition release is part of Balvenie’s Stories Collection, paying tribute to the art of coopering, the centuries-old craft of crafting and maintaining casks. The whisky was developed under the guidance of new malt master Kelsey McKechnie, marking her first solo creation following the legendary David C. Stewart MBE. The result is an exceptional whisky that celebrates the rich influence of sherry casks and the dedication to craft that defines The Balvenie.

Aroma: Rich, spiced blackcurrant chutney, with layers of seedless raisins, zesty orange peel, and ripe stone fruit. Notes of manuka honey, cured meat, lavender, and ginger snaps add complexity.

Palate: Elegant and vibrant, offering flavors of dried fruits, marzipan, and black tea. A burst of orange boiled sweets, stewed black fruits, and winter spices contribute to its dynamic profile.

Finish: Long and satisfying, with aromatic spices, honeyed fruits, creamy nuttiness, and a final note of figs.
