Tequila Arriesgado Blanco
Tequila Arriesgado Blanco is produced by 4th-generation Maestro Tequilero Roberto Real under NOM 1459 in Amatitán, Jalisco. The blanco revives the ancestral Canoa y Mazo process — hand-crushing 100% Weber blue agave with a wooden mallet and canoe trough, a labor-intensive method documented for over a century and seldom practiced at commercial scale today. Agave plants are field-ripened for seven years before slow-cooking in fire-fed masonry ovens, and the finished spirit carries Kosher certification. Released to the US market in April 2026 by PKGD Group, Arriesgado remains a limited find in specialty and direct channels.
The nose opens on sweet roasted agave and ripe grapefruit, with an underlying brightness that reflects the Amatitán valley terroir. On the palate, citrus and cracked black pepper build over a base of caramelized agave, with a thread of light smoke tracing back to the masonry-oven cook. The finish is clean and direct, with lingering pepper and a quiet mineral note that fades slowly.
Tequila Arriesgado Blanco is a compelling addition for agave enthusiasts who seek traditionally produced, limited-release spirits — equally at home as a sipping blanco or a cocktail base.
