Color: The 12 is amber; the 15 is deep copper.

Nose: 12: sherry, dried fruit, toasted oak and spice. 15: richer fruit, dark chocolate, ginger and more sherry.

Palate: Both are single pot still Irish whiskey, oily and full. The 12 is the definitive introduction, creamy with fruit and spice; the 15 is fuller, with more oak, dark fruit and a touch of pepper.

Finish: Long and spicy on the 12, longer and richer on the 15.
