The 22nd vintage of Pol Roger's Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill, the prestige Champagne named for the house's most famous admirer.

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is made only in the finest years, from Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards already planted in Churchill's lifetime, with Pinot Noir dominant and the exact blend kept a family secret. The 2018 is the first Churchill crafted by chef de caves Damien Cambres, disgorged in June 2024 with a dosage of 7 grams per litre. A sunny spring pushed flowering about 10 days ahead of average, the summer stayed warm with healthy vines, and Pol Roger began picking on August 24. Wine Spectator (97 points) writes, "Like a finely tailored suit, this exhibits impeccable harmony," noting ripe plum, candied lemon peel, toasted hazelnut and brioche over a plush, creamy mousse. It rates the wine for drinking now through 2045, with even greater expression to come for those who wait. 12.5% ABV, 750ml.
