Nonino Grappa Cru Monovitigno Picolit comes from the Nonino family distillery in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy, where the family has distilled since 1897. In 1973 Giannola and Benito Nonino changed grappa forever by distilling the pomace of a single grape variety — the rare Picolit — creating the Monovitigno method that this bottling still represents. Picolit is one of Italy's most prized and scarce dessert-wine grapes, grown in tiny quantities in the hills of Friuli, and its pomace is distilled in artisanal batches to capture the character of the vineyard.

The result is an intensely aromatic grappa of unusual elegance. Ripe apricot, golden apple, and acacia honey rise from the glass, joined by rose petal and candied citrus. The palate is warm and full, carrying honeyed stone fruit and delicate spice through to a long, perfumed finish with hints of almond and dried fruit.
