Mal Bien Mezcal Papalote is a testament to the deep mezcal-making tradition of Don Tomás and his son Emiliano Gutiérrez, third and fourth-generation mezcaleros from the hills above Chilapa de Alvarez, Guerrero. Crafted using 100% Papalote (Agave cupreata), this artisanal mezcal reflects the family’s dedication to sustainable practices, including their own nursery program nurturing over 50,000 papalote seedlings. Each batch captures the authentic flavors of the region, with an exceptional balance of earthy deepness and smoky elegance.

Nose: Inviting aromas of roasted agave, subtle smoke, and hints of cacao. A touch of dried herbs and charred chiles adds complexity.

Palate: Smooth and layered, featuring creamy milk chocolate notes that intertwine with smoky undertones. Earthy flavors are accented by the warmth of roasted chiles, complemented by a slight minerality.
