Clos Lanson 2009: a single-vineyard Blanc de Blancs from a walled one-hectare clos in the heart of Reims, in a wooden box.
Clos Lanson is a small walled Chardonnay vineyard beside the Lanson cellars, bottled on its own only in the best years. It is fermented in oak and aged at length on its lees. The sunny 2009 vintage gives a rounder, riper expression, with citrus, white peach, brioche and toast over a chalky core. 12.5% ABV, 750ml.
