Distilled from pure cane sugar at the Kōloa Rum Company in Kalaheo, Kaua'i, this Single Barrel Kaua'i Reserve release spent a minimum of four years in the barrel before being bottled at natural cask strength, one barrel at a time, with each bottle hand numbered. Deep amber in the glass, it opens with fragrant sugarcane, toffee and dark fruit, then turns to mellow oak, orange peel and toasted vanilla on the palate before a bold, complex and remarkably smooth finish. A rare sipping rum from the only rum distillery of its kind in Hawaii, made for a slow pour and a good cigar. 750ml. Proof varies slightly by barrel.
