Irlandes Tequila Reposado
Irlandés Tequila Reposado is produced at NOM 1588, Tequila El Mexicano, in Arandas in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco. The agave is cooked in a traditional autoclave, fermented slowly with natural French yeast, and double distilled before resting in toasted American oak barrels. What sets this reposado apart is its water source: Arandas well water is blended with water drawn from St Patrick's Well in Ireland, tying the tequila's Mexican roots to an Irish point of origin.
The color runs a dazzling honey gold. On the nose, vanilla specks and just-baked pan dulce open into dried apple and the earthy pull of Los Altos agave. The palate carries rested agave alongside toasted American oak, with gentle vanilla and cocoa layered underneath, finishing on stone-ground cocoa bean and a warm, delicate spice.
Irlandés Tequila Reposado suits a collector's shelf as easily as it does a home bar looking to branch out from more familiar highland expressions. Pair it alongside other Gifted Pour reposado and añejo tequilas for a side-by-side tasting, or gift it to someone who appreciates a tequila with an unconventional backstory. Ships to most US states. Adult-signature required at delivery.
