Inglenook Rubicon Rutherford Napa Valley 2014
The Rubicon 2014 from Inglenook is the estate’s flagship wine and a modern classic from Rutherford within Napa Valley. First produced in 1978, Rubicon was inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s vision to create a Bordeaux-style grand vin that reflects both the historical legacy and peak expression of the estate’s vineyards.
Named after the historic river crossed by Julius Caesar, symbolizing a bold and irreversible decision, Rubicon embodies ambition, precision, and excellence. Under the guidance of winemaker Philippe Bascaules, the wine has achieved remarkable finesse and consistency.
The 2014 vintage, shaped by warm and dry conditions, yielded fruit of exceptional concentration and ripeness, resulting in a wine of depth, balance, and impressive aging potential.
