Jacob's Well pays homage to the historic well constructed by Jacob Beam, which served as the initial water source for the family's inaugural bourbon. This bourbon is a blend of a 16-year-old traditional bourbon, sharing the same mash bill as iconic releases like Jim Beam, Knob Creek, and Booker’s, alongside a 15-year-old high-rye bourbon, famously utilized by Basil Hayden and Old Grand Dad. Both bourbons were originally distilled by Freddie Noe and personally selected by him a decade and a half later.

The months specified on the label harken back to the original Jacob’s Well bottling, which proudly bore the distinction of being an 84-month old bourbon. The Batch 2 of Jacob's Well, officially announced on June 1, 2022, and approved by the TTB on July 21, 2023, undergoes an impressive aging process of 211 months (17.5 years).
