The Mermaid marks the inaugural release in Glen Scotia’s Icons of Campbeltown range, an exclusive series paying homage to the legendary heritage and coastal mystique of the Campbeltown region. Aged for 12 years and finished in rare ex-Palo Cortado sherry casks, this unpeated expression showcases Glen Scotia’s elegance and maritime soul. Named after the mythical sea creature said to dwell in the waters off the rugged Kintyre Peninsula, The Mermaid is a tribute to the sea’s enduring influence on the distillery’s spirit. Richly layered, delicately briny, and deeply evocative, this whisky is both a celebration of tradition and an exploration of refinement.

Aroma:
Bracing and vibrant, the nose opens with a fresh Atlantic sea breeze, mingled with bright citrus oils and coastal minerality. Toasted hazelnuts and a whisper of dried fruit add warm, nutty complexity, creating a harmonious interplay between maritime freshness and sherry cask richness.

Palate:
