Produced at Tenuta Greppo by Biondi-Santi, this Riserva traces its lineage back to 1888, when Ferruccio Biondi Santi first created Brunello di Montalcino.

Crafted exclusively from the estate’s oldest Sangiovese Grosso vines (BBS11 clone), this rare Riserva is only produced in exceptional vintages and in extremely limited quantities. The 1997 vintage—widely regarded as outstanding in Tuscany—delivers both power and elegance, embodying the estate’s hallmark longevity and classical style. A true collector’s wine, it represents over a century of tradition, precision, and terroir expression.

Appearance: Deep garnet with evolving brick-orange hues, reflecting maturity and graceful aging.

Aroma: Complex and layered, offering intense aromas of blackberries, pomegranate, and ripe plum. These are interwoven with Mediterranean herbs—thyme, rosemary, and sage—alongside earthy notes of ტყ (forest floor), leather, dried flowers, and subtle spice.

Palate: Majestic and harmonious, with a silky yet structured mouthfeel. Flavors of dark fruit and dried red berries are complemented by savory herbal nuances and a touch of balsamic depth.
